ABOUT US

Who Are We?
We, Sophie and Izzy, are two sisters who have spent a lifetime exploring, learning, and studying in the mountains and lochs of Scotland. We are passionate about finding happiness and health through movement in the outdoors, and connecting people to plants and wild food, a knowledge form that has been lost in the modern world.

Sophie is a qualified Mountain Leader, qualifying Woodland Activity Leader, and has a Master’s degree in Outdoor Environmental Learning. She has spent several years guiding in diverse forms, on the seas and waterways of Scotland, and in the mountains. Her goal is to inspire human-nature connection, and use folklore, plant-lore, and storytelling as a means of deepening our understanding of the world around us. More recently she has started working in temperate rainforest conservation (don’t ask about this or she will start a long monologue on lichens and moss – unless that’s your thing!)

Izzy
Isabella (Izzy) is a movement practitioner and performer holding a degree in Theatre Dance and is a qualified yoga teacher. She leads workshops and classes across Scotland’s central belt in a range of movement and dance disciplines. Spending time as an outdoor instructor brought together her love of movement and a passion for building strong connections with movement and the natural world. She has spent the last few years working with herbalists learning about the many different holistic properties of herbs and plants and has brought this wealth of knowledge and her relationship with plants into her practices.
